Working in partnership with ARCHA

Agewell is actively involved with the Action Research Centre for Healthy Ageing (ARCHA) which enables older people to air their views by taking part in a host of research.

Based at Aston University in Birmingham, the centre undertakes research studies in health and wellbeing to discover new ways to improve quality of life in older age.

The Agewell Chair and Agewell CEO sit on the ARCHA Board, ensuring their input at the highest level.

The areas of research covered in the past have included medicine management, mobility and safety issues, sleep studies, memory and concentration, and diet and exercise.

Most recently, ARCHA has been busy working on its latest stage of research which has involved creating a panel of people aged over 50. Agewell has been promoting this to its members and encouraging them to get involved.
