Partnership with West Midlands Fire Service

Agewell has joined forces with West Midlands Fire Service to help older people to stay Safe and Well in their own homes.

The Safe and Well programme aims to help people remain healthy, active and independent for longer, avoid loneliness and isolation, and also ensure that their homes are safe and hazard free.

Initially launched by the Fire Service to encourage people to have smoke alarms fitted, the initiative has developed over the past few years to offer a wide range of safety advice, from how to reduce the risk of fire to avoiding potential trip hazards.

The Fire service will be having drop in sessions at the Agewell shop in Sandwell General Hospital soon.
