Caring for our future
In response to the discussion launched by the Department of Health entitled ‘Caring for our Future: shared ambitions for care and support’, Agewell staged a major consultation event.
More than 120 people from right across the Black Country came along to give their views. These included older people themselves along with representatives from the voluntary, community and healthcare sector.
Agewell insisted that a senior representative from the Department of Health attended the event so that everyone’s views about the priorities for improving care and support could be listened to at a national level.
Agewell’s feedback report is now forming part of the national consultation which will lead to a Government White Paper.
